Who could believe that one of our favorite companies from 1989 is now looking like crap ... times are changing and it is time for all of us to change, STARTING WITH TARGET ... global warming, economy crashing and look what is more important to TARGET, IT'S HEAVY DUTY SHOPPING BAGS ... It will be interesting to see just how much TARGET'S market share will be effected. Target used to claim to be fast fun and friendly, but have over the years changed, it no longer trusts it's customers. Wahlmart has door greeters that not only welcome and assist ALL CUSTOMERS when shopping at their stores, but follow all laws regarding the disabled, and assist families with carts for children. Target on the other hand has removed door greeters and only has SECURITY PEOPLE WATCHING YOU, so worried about their loss of merchandise, their SECURITY members seem not to be able to do anything other than stand there. When asked to watch cart for a disabled person, TARGET SECURITY SAID THEY WERE BUSY WATCHING THE DOOR AND COULD NOT MOVE? It is no wonder during this time of economic hard times for all of us that people are shopping at alternative places for basics like soap and toothbrush. Such stores as the 99 cents store and Wahlmart offer great savings. I still love TARGAYS HOME DECOR DEPARTMENT, HANDS DOWN TARGET HAS STYLE. After reviewing Target Discrimination law suit paperwork, I have come to realize the best way to fix a problem is through the court system.... money talks to big business, and unfortunately for Target Stores, who's corporate office is in MPLS,MN, and who is my prior employer of 5 years will now have to answer to the courts regarding the previously documented ADA discrimination occuring at their Van Nuys location on Sepulveda just 3 short months ago. During this time 3 ADA violations occurred at this location, involviong myself, Store Manager Carlos, Loss Prevention Manager Karina, and a legless man who was not offered assistance to neither retreive the electric shopping cart blocking 2 handicapped parking places, and I was refused assistance, being disabled now, customer statement retained documenting refusal of service... now demands will be met in court... expect Target Stock changes in the near future as this matter is brought to court and the company is in the processing of correcting their mistakes, retraining their stores in CA on BACK TO BASICS, ADA LAW. LA, where are the other angels? Had the opportunity to come across/meet a man(1219mark)...A man, late 40's, wheel chair bound. missing one leg, other not functional... struggling to get across the street in Van Nuys, with his trained dog pushing his manual wheel chair, cars honking, drivers yelling out their windows hateful words, because they had to wait, while he crossed as fast as he could... with only the help of his dog to get across the street. No one was offered to help... I ran up from behind to help, could not believe how insensitive the car drivers where to the disabled man. Had an opportunity to help him get to his home, getting an item he was buying for a friends(gift) a flashing tail light for a friend's bike...he was using his disability money to provide protection to another person by buying them a flashing tail light for their bike... friend had helped him with something and his heart directed him to help out another... inspirational to me.... he was doing what I have been doing but on a smaller scale... he was patient as I explained I needed to give out 6 crosses today... .this was the goal I had set for today... each to a person, with explanation of reason, WORLD PEACE begins with one, then another, then another,... everyday, I make an effort to improve the neighborhood... whether it's picking up trash/giving recycles to help disabled neighbor, today, helping a legless man in a manual wheel chair only being helped by his trained dog, also spead love to poor latin mom with 3 children, bought them little $1 gifts(total spent $3), and gave cross in inspiration to family to believe that JESUS LOVE EVERYONE EQUALLY, asked the children to pray everyday for a better tomorrow... assured the young girls, (6, 8, 12) GOD will take care of his people... also expressed grateful appreciation to a couple small businees owners, who recognize their customers needs, truely care, their are several within a short distance of my home... I am having a yard sale soon, but would rather give him this TV, to replace his broken one, better to give and then get money on a yard sale to me, this... this is who I am... I am so caring at this point in my life and so passionate about making a difference, it has been taking me hours, days to accomplish the most simple of tasks.... going to the store maybe 10 blocks away for basic neccessities, I can not help but stop and pick up all the trash on the way, stop and help anyone disabled or older, maybe they need a little help across the street, or just a chearful message of Jesus loves all... each trip to buy just milk, fruit, water, whatever ends up being a mission of compassion... giving out crosses to those I can, telling them about WORLD PEACE IS COMING, GIVING OUT MY BUSINESS CARD OF LAANGELBEAR8CHRIS... ONLY WORK FOR GOD, no man... with my 2 phone numbers and 2 emails for people to reach me... talk to immigrant people offer to help if would like help finding public resources that they can access ...and may not be aware of.... all this I do for free... GOD tells me this is my job.... am spending the last few days and the next few days doing what I need to do, clean, organize, pay bills, rent, get part needed for car, not running, but ok, it gives me a chance to talk to people in the street, appreciate that it hasn't been running for about a month... believe it needs a starter relay... will get this coming week... older mercedes, have dealers shop dvd and reviewing it. .. following suggestions of repair, first was to check battery, charging system... all ok, next is replace relay for starter... I believe this is the actual problem... is not will follow manual to find out what else it could be... on disability so funds tight... but car is a gem ... great engine 130,000 original... all original even all engine parts, not surprized things need to be replaced now that it's over 20 years old... do not want a new car, want to fix up this one... it is a lot like me, older, stood the test of time, dependable, only needs a little tlc... be in touch and posting again soon... just went to 711 to get soda and milk, energy drink was able to pick up trash going and coming, spoke to 5 people about jesus loving all, 2 elder gentlemen enjoying sitting and talking... gave business card and a cross air freshener to each...both grateful... have 3 others to spanish people, spoke to them about web site and gave cross air fresheners, explained by partner(male is hispanic) and I help people for free...all seemed encouraged hablo gracious.... I speak spanish since last stroke....very weird to understand it in one day.... also neighbors are all from other countries, I am the only GRINGO... love everyone the same so it's cool with me.... wonderful neighbors got me a big America Flag today and a hat (American Flag) found them at a swap meet for me cheap... very happy, only a couple of bucks and I love the american flag and love hats.... really appreciated that they remembered me and happy it only cost a couple of bucks.... I do not have time and would be unable to go looking for these type of things on my own, been so busy with charity work... love that they remembered me...bringing American flag with me when ever going out and picking up trash, while going to store or talking to people, kinda different, but I do love the USA and I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN....
